CALL FOR SPEAKERS The Call for Speakers is now open! Training professionals play a critical role in skilling the workforce for continued individual opportunity and economic and industry success. Effective teaching, learning and assessment is pivotal then to learners, industry and the ongoing rejuvenation of the training sector. The theme for this year’s VET Teaching 2010 Conference is VET Inclusion – a celebration of culture and diversity. To reflect the aims of the conference, we are inviting interested people (teachers, trainers, managers, support staff and key stakeholders) to submit ideas for conference sessions based on the five conference themes presented below. We are not simply asking for papers or abstracts as we would like to move away from formal conference presentations towards sessions that are innovative, interactive and engaging. Ideas should be based on one of the five major themes for 2010: 1. Diversity in the VET game ~ no two days are the same! 2. Working with All Learners ~ everyone’s needs are different 3. Contemporary VET Learning ~ strategies for now and the future 4. Assessment for Learning ~ revitalising the link between assessment and learning 5. International VET ~ there’s something in it for everyone HOW TO SUBMIT AN IDEA FOR A CONFERENCE SESSION
